What is Poly Lumber? 

All of our outdoor furniture is made of poly lumber, also known as HDPE lumber. So what does that mean exactly? HDPE stands for high-density polyethylene materials. It is made of recycled materials such as milk jugs and water bottles. 

So why not use regular wood? The benefits of poly lumber far outweigh those of regular lumber.

What is the environmental impact of poly lumber? 

Plastic waste (laundry detergent bottles, water bottles, milk jugs, soda bottles, etc) often ends up in landfills or the ocean where it sits for years without decomposing. By using recycled plastic to make HDPE lumber, plastic waste is diverted from landfills, reducing the impact of plastic on the environment. It can also be recycled again at the end of its life, closing the loop on plastic waste and conserving resources.

Poly Furniture Colors and Maintenance 

The texture and appearance of poly lumber are similar to a wood product, but poly far exceeds the strength and durability of natural wood. Poly furniture is available in traditional wood colors and an expanding palate of bright tropical colors that are all UV resistant so you’ll never have to worry about fading. 

Poly outdoor furniture does not need chemical weatherproofing treatments and is practically maintenance-free. Simply clean it occasionally with soap and water (avoid pressure washing), and your furniture will last for years to come.
